Occupation	Mr. Smith was in the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1972 and was stationed at Headquarters CENTAG in West Germany. After graduating from law school, he and his family moved to Washington, Indiana in 1976. He was a trial attorney in Washington for 40 years and retired in 2017. After his retirement, he volunteered at the Daviess County Museum and at St. Vincent DePaul in Washington. In 2023 he was appointed Daviess County Historian by the Indiana Historical Society.
Education	Bruce A. Smith graduated in 1966 from Selma High School in Selma, Indiana. He earned a bachelors degree in political science in 1970 from American University in Washington, D.C. He received a J.D. degree from Indiana Univeristy in Bloomington in 1976.
