The Sanfords are among the pioneers of Daviess County. Paternal grandparents were Hamletz Sanford and Ann (Clark) Sanford. The Clarks were Enlish people from Orange County, VA. William's maternal grandfather, Elijah Eads,was also one of the first to settle in Daviess County. |
