Mr. Dobbyn was a World War I veteran having served with the 326th Field Artillery of the U.S. Army in France. He was a teacher in Veale, Bogard and Barr township schools and in Tipton, Indiana. He became an attorney in 1924. He served as Judge of the Daviess Circuit Court from 1945 to 1946 and again from 1961 to 1966. He was president of the Washington School Board. |
Education |
Fred Dobbyn graduated in 1910 from Washington High School in Washington, Indiana. He earned an A.B. degree from DePauw Uniteversity with Phi Beta Kappa honors. He graduated from the Benjamin Harrison Law School in Indianapolis and obtained a special LLB degree from the Indiana University Law School. He also studied law at Souge College in France and at the University of Chicago. |
