Description |
Square, handkerchief with tatting made by Helen S. Robertson for Annie (Campbell) Harned as an 1890 Christmas gift. Included with the handkerchief is a 1902 Red Second Premium Kentucky State Fair ribbon and a 1906 Blue First Premium Kentucky State Fair ribbon. Helen Robertson was a cousin of Dr. Francis Harned, Annie Harned's husband. Ms. Robertson, along with Beulah Trousdale, another cousin of Dr. Harned, lived with Annie (Campbell) Harned in the historic Campbell-Harned House at 307 Harned Ave. in Washington, Indiana. The house was built by James Campbell, Annie's father, in 1853. These items were part of the James Campbell family collection donated to the Daviess County Museum in 2023 by Michael Fitzpatrick, in memory of his mother, Virginia Fitzpatrick. |
