Description |
"Weary Millie," an acrylic painting by Joeann S. Like (1937-2021) from Washington, Indiana. Info on back states: "About the artist...Joeann Like Born in Washington, Indiana, April 8, 1937. Married to John B. Like. We have a married son named Joey. I've been interested in art since childhood. I'm a frustrated artist from the school of trial and error. I like all kinds of art and music, and a dreamer at heart. I enjoyed clowning for several years as "Lady Bug". I used by art work and puppets to perform for clubs and parties. I held face-painting workshops for all ages. I appeared on cable TV "American Trails" with host Don Jacks. I like to paint clowns and other subjects. I work with acrylic and watercolors. I find they work best for me. Things I really enjoy: Coffee with friends, cats and dogs, fishing, a slow life-style and two dollars in my pocket. Things that bug me: cracked coffee cups, cars that don't start, housework, and music that is off key." |
