Description |
Two copies of a Gold painted cardboard hatchet with "Whoopee! Hatchets!" printed on handle. The souvenir was issued after the boys basketball team at Washington High School in Washington, Indiana won the 1930 Indiana IHSAA state high school basketball championship. Printed on the hatchet: "Compliments of The Herald and Simpson's." On the back of one hatchet is written, "Mh 15 and 16, 1930 Washington won State." On the back of the second hatchet is written "#934 belonged to Lena Dunn." There is black and gold ribbon tied around the handle of the second hatchet. |
