June 14, 1877 member tag in the League of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This was one item in a large collection of photos,documents and items donated to the Daviess County Museum in 2012 from St. Simon Catholic Church in Washington, Indiana. The construction of St. Simon Catholic Church was completed in 1886. In 2008 the church was renamed Our Lady of Hope after the merger of St. Simon and St. Mary, the two Catholic parishes in Washington. |
