Description |
A 45 r.p.m.phonograph record by Tom (aka Thom) Bresh, with the songs " My Lickskillet, Indiana Home" and "Smoke! Smoke! Smoke! that Cigarette" (1977). Thomas Charles "Tom" Bresh (1948-2022) was born in Hollywood, California, the biological son of Merle Travis (1917-1983), a Country Music Hall of Fame member. Tom Bresh was raised by his mother, Ruth E. (Johnson) Bresh (1910-1999) and his step-father, Everett "Bud" Bresh in Southern California and later in Washington, Indiana. Tom first learned that Merle Travis was his biological father when he was a young man, but vowed out of respect to his step father not to speak of it until after Bud's death in 1987. Tom had a life-long music career as a "hotshot guitar picker & television celebrity figure" and scored a top 10 country hit in 1976 with "Home Made Love." |
