Description |
1975 color photograph taken in the Commissioner's Room at the Daviess County Courthouse in Washington, Indiana. Kathleen J. Cavanaugh's design of a Daviess County emblem and flag had just won top prize in the 1975 "Heritage In Design" contest sponsored by the Daviess County Bicentennial Committee. Pictured Lt to Rt: William "Bill" Reiners, Chairman of the Daviess County Bicentennial Committee; Thomas B. Cavanaugh, Kathleen's husband, holding the emblem; Kathleen J. Cavanaugh, holding the flag; and Thomas Campbell with Washington Clearinghouse which funded the contest. This is the same photo as 2017.FIC.3060. This is one item in a collection of documents and newspapers articles about Ms. Cavanaugh who lives in Cannelburg, Indiana. Ms. Cavanaugh's emblem and flag were donated to the Daviess County Museum and are on display in Rm 300. |
