Framed October 15, 2002 color photograph of former Daviess County Sheriff Ralph Morgan (on left), former Daviess County Sheriff Everett Beasley (on right) and the then current Daviess County Sheriff Jerry Harbstreit (center) at the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new Daviess County Security Center which replaced the Daviess County Jail in Washington, Indiana. This is one item in a large collection donated to the Daviess County Museum by Pam (Beasley) Ficklin, the daughter of Everett and Virginia Beasley, about her father and mother. Mr. Beasley was prominent in the Republican Party of Daviess County and was elected to four terms as Sheriff of Daviess County (1971-1978 & 1983-1990). During Mr. Beasley's tenure as Sheriff, Virginia Beasley was initially the Daviess County Jail Matron and later a 2nd Deputy Sheriff. |
