Description |
Two photographs glued onto a pressed board. The top picture is an undated photo (ca. 1910-1930) on which is written "Old Alfordsville Mill." The bottom picture (ca. 1928) is a group photo of teachers and administrators at the Walnut Street School in Washington, Indiana. The names of the teachers and administrators are written on a label to the right of the photo. It appears that a third photo was once mounted on the pressed board, but has been removed. The pressed board display was likely created by William Brooks Allen, an active member of the Daviess County Historical Society in the late 1960s and 1970s, and used as an exhibit at the Daviess County Museum. |
