Undated photograph (ca. 1940-1941) taken at the Bourgholtzer Studio in Washington, Indiana of Hugh F. Billings (1919-2005). He was the son of Mr. Walter R. Billings (1889-1942) and Mrs. Edna E. (Faris) Billings (1886-1963). He graduated in 1937 from Washington High School and from Indiana University in 1941. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran having served with the U.S. Army. Mr. Billings when he retired in 1984 was the senior vice president and trust officer at Peoples National Bank in Washington. This photo was part of a collection about the Billings and Nimnicht families donated to the Daviess County Museum in 2023 by Holly Billings, the daughter of Mr. Hugh F. Billings and Mrs. Eleanor J. (Nimnicht) Billings (1921-1980) and the granddaughter of Walter and Edna Billings. |
