Description |
Two copies of a picture postcard of damage caused to an unidentified building in Washington, Indiana by a July 11, 1938 storm. Written on the front is, "Cyclone 1938 Wash. Ind." This is one item in a large collection of picture postcards and newspaper photos showing extensive damage throughout Washington by the tornado. Some of the items have written on them "#1611" which is a reference to the Thelma Bingham books at the Daviess County Museum. According to her entry this collection belonged to Pete Emmick of Washington and was donated to the Museum by his daughter, Jayne Gayle. |
