5 x 7 black and white photograph taken in 1947 of a Baltimore and Ohio steam locomotive. This photo may have been taken at the B & O shops in Washington, Indiana. On the reverse is written "#1391" which reference the books prepared by Thelma Bingham, long time curator at the Daviess County Museum, that state this picture was part of a collection of railroad photographs obtained from the Al Peek estate. According to the 1952 Washington City Directory, Albert C. Peek was a conductor for the B & O Railroad Company and he resided at 21 Green Acres in Washington, Indiana with his wife, Lois Peek. On the reverse is also written, "Shops, Ind. 5 x 7 1947". |
