A photo of Charles F. Gordon (1928-2012) and Burke Allison holding a book. Charles F. and John Gordon were the owners of the Tuxedo Tavern at 20 S.E. 4th Street in Washington, Indiana. Charles found in the antic of the tavern an entire set of 1884 American Shorthorn Herd Books, one of which he and Mr. Allison are holding. Burke Allison lived at Rt. 2, Washington, and his family for three generations had breed and raised registered Shorthorns on their farm in Daviess County.
