Description |
Two copies of a composite of photographs of 7th and 8th grade students at the Sugarland School north of Washington, Indiana during school year 1957-1958. Some of the students are identified on labels on the reverse of one of the photos. The No. 6 Consolidated Sugarland School was constructed in 1914 and was designed for grades one through eight. It was first used during the 1914-1915 school year. In 1967-1968 grades seven and eight were transferred to the Washington Junior High School. The next year the school was closed and the building was demolished. This is one item in the Sugarland School Collection that may be viewed in the Research Room of the Daviess County Museum. |
