An undated color photograph (ca. 1980-1990) of an abandoned building at the former B & O Shops west of Washington, Indiana which closed in December 1965. At the height of its activity, the B & O Shops employed over a thousand workers in Washington. This item is part of a large collection of documents and photos owned by Dale Smith about the City of Washington, the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company or the B & O Shops in Washington. Mr. Smith allowed the Daviess County Museum to scan the items into the Museum's collection. |
