Copy of 8 x 10 black and white photograph of large crowd on Main Street in Washington, Indiana near the Indiana Theatre. A truck has advertising on its side promoting the movie "The Pursuit of Happiness" starring Joan Bennett and Charlie Ruggles which was released in 1934. On the marquee of the Indiana Theatre, "Death on Diamond" is also showing. None of the people in the crowd are identified. This is the same photo as 2018.FIC.0255. On the reverse is written, "409 Kramer & Smith Grocery 1936-1939," "407 Alpha Hat and Shine Shop 1936-1939" and "405 Wirts Clothing 1936-1948." |
