A picture postcard of the Baltimore and Ohio passenger depot in Washington, Indiana postmarked October 2, 1914 and addressed to Mrs. M.E. Maryfield in Odon, Indiana from Jina. The depot now houses the Daviess County Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau. In the background is the Globe Hotel. This item is part of a large collection of documents and photos owned by Dale Smith about the City of Washington, the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company or the B & O Shops in Washington. Mr. Smith allowed the Daviess County Museum to scan the items into the Museum's collection. At the height of its activity, the B & O Shops employed over a thousand workers in Washington. |
