Summary |
18th century German Luthern Bible with leather front and back covers. Inside of Bible are several sheets of paper two of which are written in German. On two pieces of paper are English translations of some of the documents written in German. One translation is a "Certificate of baptism" for Johanna Maria Margreta on June 22, 1730, the daughter of Johann Georg Noltert and Elizabeth Noltert. Another translation is "A Church Recommendation" for Frederic Lisemayer and his wife, Maria Margaretha Lisemayer dated May 12, 1751. Two blue sheets appear to be an itemization and sale of assets in the Estate of Samuel Phillips (no date or location). |
