The volunteers at the Daviess County Museum strive to be as accurate as possible when cataloging the Museum's collection. But sometimes we have limited provenance about artifacts and often cannot identify people in photographs. If you have more information about any item in the Museum's online collection, we encourage you to share that knowledge with us.

Two copies of the1931 Washingtonian yearbook for Washington High School in Washington, Indiana. The yearbook contains photos and text about the students, teachers, administrators and events during school year 1930-1931. The 1931 Washingtonian was dedicated to Homer E. Capehart, a former student at Washington High School and owner of a farm north of Washington, who on February 7, 1931 donated the "Capehart Audition System" (a combined phonograph, radio and microphone) to Washington High School. Mr. Capehart later had a successful political career and was elected three terms to the U.S. Senate from Indiana.
