Summary |
1907 City Directory for Washington, Indiana. Included is an alphabetized list of people living in the city and the surrounding rural areas, a street directory listing businesses and residences at specific addresses, an alphabetized list of businesses, churches, schools and lodges in Washington, and a listing of local and state government officials. This directory was first owned by Charles R. Luder, a professional photographer in Washington. His wife, Fannie Luder, used the book to store her favorite recipes and many are written in the book or glued onto pages. Thelma L. Bingham, who years later was curator at the Daviess County Museum, was receptionist for Mr. Luder during the 1930s. Mr. Luder's son, Carl Luder, gave Ms. Bingham the book. See image 20. |
