Two copies of "The Odyssey of Terror: Theodore Hyatt's Civil War Diary," (2016) edited by C. Byron Buckley. Mr. Buckley transcribed the Civil War diary of Theodore Hyatt from Washington, Indiana who served in Company D of the 24th Indiana Infantry Regiment from July 31, 1861 to July 31, 1864. His regiment fought at the battles of Shiloh and Vicksburg. Mr. Buckley includes notes about political events and an overview of military campaigns to provide context to Mr. Hyatt's diary entries. On pages 50 to 56 Mr. Buckley provides historical and genealogical information about the Hyatt family in Daviess County. The Hyatt diary is owned by Roger English of Washington.
