Samuel H. Taylor moved to Washington, Indiana in 1864 and was a successful attorney. He was one of the organizers of the Washington National Bank and served as vice-president, cashier and director. He was active in the Democrat party and was elected the Indiana State Representative for Daviess County. He was a partner in the law firm of Gardiner, Taylor & Gardiner in Washington. |
