Occupation	Mr. Ricks was a farmer. Early in his life he was a teacher; one year in South Dakota and one year at the Swan School in Veale Township of Daviess County, Indiana. He was a World War I veteran serving from July 10, 1918 to May 15, 1919. He was elected a Daviess County Commissioner in 1936 and Daviess County Surveyor in 1952.
Education	Fred Ricks was a 1914 graduate of Washington High School in Washingon, Indiana. He attended Indiana State University.
