Occupation	John S. Hastings was a prominent attorney in Washington, Indiana. In 1957 he was appointed to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals by President Dwight Eisenhower.
Education	John S. Hastings graduated in 1916 from Washington High School in Washington, Indiana. He attended Indiana University during 1916 and 1917. He was appointed to West Point Military Academy in 1918 and graduated in 1920. He graduated from Indiana University School of Law in 1924.
