Mourning card for Fay (Wentzell) Ledbetter (1924-2024) who passed away on March 25, 2024. Ms. Ledbetter was born in Maine, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Morley and Goldie Wentzell. In 1944 she married Ray Leonard Hart (1922-2007) from Washington, Indiana while he was in the U.S. Navy. After Ray was discharged from the Navy, Ray and Fay moved to Washington and owned and operated Chat and Nibble restaurant and later Blue Bird Cafe. They had two daughters, Cathy "Cate" (Hart) Hyatt and Cynthia (Hart) Delaney. Fay later married Joe Hardeman Ledbetter (1923-1994). This card was part of a large collection donated in 2025 to the Daviess County Museum by Ray and Fay's daughter, Cate (Hart) Hyatt. |
