Scope & Content |
A handbill advertising a "Strawberry Fete!" to be held at Tranter's Opera House in Washington, Indiana on June 15, 1877 "[u]nder the auspices of the gentlemen of the PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH." The handbill promised "Good Music will Enliven the Occasion" and "[t]he Refreshment Tables will be under the immediate supervision of a committee of gentlemen appropriately arrayed." Admission was 10 cents and the proceeds to go toward "Paying for the New Organ." The handbill has been glued to a laminate type material. |
