November 17, 1933 certificate of title issued to the Federal Land Bank of Louisville verifying that Mary A. O'Bryan owns 9.2 acres in Section 16, Township 4 North, Range 6 West and 45 acres in Section 21, Township 4, North Range 6 West of Daviess County, Indiana. This title search was prepared so that John W. & Mary A. O'Bryan could mortgage the real estate to borrow $11,000 from the Louisville bank. See 2021.FIC.0920.0008 in Archives for the mortgage. On the reverse is written"#748" which is a reference to the Thelma Bingham books at the Daviess County Museum. She wrote this item was part of a collection of documents from the "John W. O'Bryan family" that lived in Bogard Township from 1906 to 1945. Ms. Bingham wrote these papers were donated to the Museum by Robert Myers on June 11, 1979. |
