Scope & Content |
Two ledgers of disbursements and minutes of meetings of the Washington Township Emergency Relief in Washington, Indiana. One from 1932 to 1933 and the second from 1934 to 1935. Included are amounts paid for coal, food and supplies. Minutes of meetings note committee members present and matters discussed. William Fitzgibbon was the Chairman and Martha A. Ward was the secretary. Inside the front cover of both books is written "#1240" which is a reference to the Thelma Bingham books at the Daviess County Museum. She wrote these items were part of the "Martha Lett Ward Collection" that was donated by Ms. Ward to the Museum on September 27, 1986. |
