Arnold J. Padgett v. Frederick A. Menzel, et. al. lawsuit, Daviess Circuit Court, March Term, 1893. Action to collect 1889 promissory note for $500, initially made payable to James C. Lavelle, which was transferred to Mr. Padgett and to foreclose a chattel mortgage on personal property and fixtures at Menzel's Pharmacy at number 85 on Main Street in Washington, Indiana. Mr. Menzel sold drugs, paints, wall paper, window shades and toilet goods. The file contains an itemized inventory of Mr. Menzel's business, the people he owed money to and the people who owned money to him. |
