Transcript of interviews of Neil A. Smith and Jan Smith, residents of Washington, Indiana during 2011 & 2012 by L. Rex Myers, Daviess County Historian. These interviews review the family history of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Included are multiple photographs. Mr. & Mrs. Smith who moved to Washington in 1975. Mr. Smith worked for Uniroyal, a clothing manufacturing plant, on N.E. 21st Street in Washington. Mr. Smith purchased the Uniroyal plant and equipment in 1979 and renamed the business NASCO which now makes rubber wearing apparel. This is the same item as 2017.0027. In 2019 the L. Rex Myers Fund was established at the Daviess County Community Foundation to support the Daviess County Museum. |
