A copy of an August 1919 newspaper advertisement about movies playing at the Liberty Threatre at 8-10 E. Main Street in Washington, Indiana. The main feature was "Johnny on the Spot," an American silent film comedy released February 17, 1919. Also showing was "The Summer Girls" a "two reel Paramount" Mack Sennett production about "Bathing Girls." According to the 1923 Washington City Directory, Harry Vonderschmitt was the manager of the Liberty Theatre. He lived at 421 E. Main Street in Washington with his wife, Nora Vonderschmitt. |
