Copy of a report about the 60th Indiana Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. Thomas J. McCafferty, a resident of Daviess County, Indiana, enlisted August 14, 1862 and was discharged as First Sergeant on September 8, 1865. He first enlisted in Company I of the 60th Indiana Infantry Regiment and was transferred on February 18, 1865 to Company G of the 26th Indiana Infantry Regiment. This is one item in a large collection of photographs and documents donated to the Daviess County Museum in 2019 by Don Cosby, Daviess County Historian. Thomas J. McCafferty was the maternal grandfather of Don Cosby. The handwritten notes on the sides of the report were likely made by Don Cosby. See 2019.0086.0007 for the Civil War diary of Thomas J.
