File # 14 labeled "Automobile History In Indiana" compiled by Donald R. Cosby (1931-2023). It contains a copy of "Indiana History Bulletin/Indiana - Built Automobiles" published March 1976 by the Indiana Historical Bureau. The 1907-1908 Washington City Directory lists Washington Motor Co. as an "Automobile Manufacturer." This file is in a four drawer, metal filing cabinet that has 153 research files compiled by Mr. Cosby. He was Daviess County Historian from 2016 to 2022. See 2023.0046 for an index of the files. Mr. Cosby wrote three books: "Revisiting The Past" (2012), "Legends, Legacy and Folklore" (2015) and "My Scrap Book" (2018). His writings and research are now stored in the Research Room (Rm 303) of the Daviess County Museum where Mr. Cosby had an office.
