Sarah Harris & Jane Scudder v. Martha Miller, et. al. lawsuit, Daviess Circuit Court, Cause No. 8672, January Term, 1895. Action to partition and quiet title to 45 acres in Daviess County, Indiana formerly owned by Robert Bratton and his son, Jefferson Bratton. Robert Bratton purchased land from the United States on March 19, 1819 which was transferred to Jefferson Bratton by the government of the United States on November 15, 1830. Robert Bratton had nine children and the heirs of Jefferson Bratton were named in the lawsuit. Genealogy of the Beasley, Scudder and McGinniss families was also noted.
