December 5, 1913 Christmas appeal published by John W. McCarty, Mayor of Washington, Indiana, "to all lodges, societies, and organizations . . . as well as to each charitable individual" to contribute to a "poor fund" set up by the City of Washington. On the reverse of the cardboard backing used to display this item was written "#663" which is a reference to the Thelma Bingham books. This item was donated to the Daviess County Museum by Clifford and Thelma Bingham |
