But sometimes we have limited provenance about artifacts and often cannot identify people in photographs. Five copies of "Hatchets History Book 1913-1973," a magazine likely published by the Washington Times Herald, the newspaper in Washington, Indiana. It recognized the success of the boys basketball teams at Washington High School from 1913 to 1973. The paperback magazine contains 32 pages with photographs of prominent teams and players including the 1930, 1941 & 1942 teams that won the Indiana State Basketball Championship. The magazine also lists the records, coaches, scores and team members from 1913 to 1973.
