David Loeb, et. al. v. Edward F. Meredith, et. al. lawsuit, Daviess Circuit Court, Cause No. 5879, September Term, 1885. Action for damages against Edward F. Meredith for debts owed by Harry Bray who apparently operated a men's clothing store. On May 9, 1885 Mr. Bray made an assignment to Edward F. Meredith of all of his business assets and Mr. Meredith was to make an inventory, have the assets appraised and sold and the proceeds distributed to Mr. Bray's creditors. The plaintiffs claimed Mr. Meredith failed to perform his duties and requested judgment against Mr. Meredith for the debts owed to David Loeb, Leopold Loeb, Herman Loeb and Frederick Eichberg. William R. Meredith was named as a defendant as the surety for Edward F. Meredith. |
