Sarah H. Agan petition, Daviess Circuit Court, Cause No. 6514, October Term, 1887. Mrs. Agan filed her petition asking the Daviess Circuit Court to adjudicate her the legal and lawful widow of John P. Agan, deceased, who was formerly a member of Captain George P. Davies company during the War of 1812. The company was under the command of Brigadier General Gilbert Eddy and attached to the New York volunteers. Mr. Agan for his service obtained from the United States a land warrant, number 61.071, issued in 1857. Mrs. Agan filed her petition in order to obtain a pension from the United States government. |
