Clergyman's Half-Fare Ticket issued by the Ohio & Mississippi Railway to Father John W. Doyle, the pastor at St. Simon Catholic Church in Washington, Indiana from 1879 to 1910. The ticket was good until December 31, 1880. This ticket was part of a large collection of photos and documents donated to the Daviess County Museum in 2012 from St. Simon Catholic Church in Washington, Indiana. The construction of St. Simon Catholic Church was completed in 1886. In 2008 the church was renamed Our Lady of Hope after the merger of St. Simon and St. Mary, the two Catholic parishes in Washington. |
