Ration stamps issued to Sallie Hill during World War II. Oran Cleveland Hill was a repairman for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Company in Washington, Indiana. He lived with his wife, Sallie Hill, his sons, George P. Hill and Oran Cleveland hill, Jr., and his daughter, Clara V. Hill at 213 N.E. 14th Street in Washington. Each person in the household was required to register with the War Price & Rationing Board and each person received their own sheet or book of ration stamps. The donor of this collection, Richard Watkins, found several World War II ration books and documents when he moved into the house at 213 N.E. 14th Street. |
