Transcript of the oral history of Florencio Becerra recorded on December 18, 2024 at the Daviess County Museum in Washington, Indiana. Mr. Becerra was born October 27,1964 in the state of Nayarit in Mexico. He immigrated when he was 16 years old to California. He came to Washington, Indiana in 1992, worked at Perdue Farms and became a U.S. citizen in 1993. He currently owns and operates a Mexican restaurant, a grocery and a laundromat in Washington. Included is a flash drive with 10 photographs of Florencio, his November 6, 2010 wedding to Fabiola Macias, family members and fellow employees at Perdue in Washington. |
