Scope & Content |
August 28, 1984 edition of the Tri-County News published in Washington, Indiana. The front page article, "Many fond memories of South Washington recalled," was written by Robert A. Brothers who grew up in Washington and graduated from Washington Catholic High School. He is the son of Robert and Catherine Brothers. Relying on his mother's recollections, Robert wrote about the people who lived in South Washington (a 12 block area of homes in and around Donaldson and Sunnyside Roads in Washington also known as "Lickskillet") in the early part of the 20th century. The article included a map showing where each family lived and the children in each home. |
