An undated edition (ca. 1935-1936) of "The Owl", the mimeographed newspaper published by students at Elnora High School in Elnora, Indiana. During the school year 1935-1936, the school paper was known as "The Owl" rather than "The Owl's Hoot." The school included grades 1 through 12 and the sports teams were known as "The Elnora Owls." The newspaper reported about students, teachers, basketball games and other school events. This edition was published during the Halloween season. On the inside cover season tickets were offered for the 12 home games for the boys high school basketball team, $1.50 for adults and $1.00 for school students. On page three it was reported that Austin Woodruff won the Elmore Township Corn Husking Contest. |
