Scope & Content |
October 18, 1950 certificate of survey and abstract of title for a parcel of land in Washington, Indiana: 100 x 290 feet located 350 west of the corner of N.E. 12th Street and George Street. The abstract lists the owners and transactions concerning the real estate from June 18, 1821, when the United States government deeded 153 acres to Elijah N. Robinson, to February 12, 1946 when Mr. & Mrs. Clyde E. & Alice N. Judy deeded the parcel to Roy McVeigh. Item No. 33 is a July 19, 1940 affidavit by Matthew F. Burke listing the children of his grandfather, Patrick M. Brett, a resident of Daviess County who died in 1844. There are items in the abstract that provide genealogical information about some of the people who owned the parcel. The names entered in the People Field are a small fraction of the individuals referenced in this abstract. |
