July 31, 1984 edition of the "Tri-County News" (4 pages) published in Washington, Indiana. One of the front page stories was about Earl Joseph "Joey" Kremp, III, the son of Joe and Becky Kremp and a 1983 Washington High School graduate, who spent 10 months in France as part of the Rotary International Youth Exchange Program. Another front page story was about H. Murray Kerr and Viola (Thirsk) Kerr who were born in Canada and moved to Washington in 1948. Mr. Kerr was employed as an accountant with U. S. Rubber. On page four is a picture of John Brummett holding a certificate after being named the "Outstanding Young Man of America for 1984" by the Jaycees. John graduated in 1981 from Washington High School. He is married to Jeannie S. Eaton. |
