Two page report about the history of schools in Veale Township, Daviess County, Indiana. The first was Scudder School which opened 1819 in a vacated log church. The first building constructed in the township as a school was erected in 1828 and was used until 1860. Eventually Veale Township was divided into eight districts each with a one room school house: Scudder, Lett, Railroad, Cumback, Pleasant Hill, Paducah, Swann and Woods. |
