Copy of three clippings published in an unidentified Washington, Indiana newspaper in 1926 or 1927. A January 13, 1927 article provides the history of the three story "Jackson Building" on the northeast corner of Main and N.E. 2nd Streets in Washington built in the 1880s by Wallace L. Jackson. The building was purchased in 1919 by Charles C. Williams who operated Williams Pharmacy at 200 E. Main Street for several years. Another clipping reports on "Mirandy's Minstrels" performed March 1, 1926 by the Monday Afternoon Club at Mrs. A. A. Rang's home in Washington. A March 3, 1926 article is about Abner D. Colbert on Maysville Road in Washington celebrating his 90th birthday. |
