Program for the February 12, 1977 ceremony on Main Street in Washington, Indiana for the unveiling of a plaque commemorating Abraham Lincoln's speech given October 26, 1844 in Washington in support of Henry Clay, the Whig Party candidate for president. The plaque was placed on the State Bank Building (now First Financial Bank) at the corner of N.E. 3rd and Main Streets which was thought to be the approximate location where Mr. Lincoln gave his speech while standing in a horse drawn wagon.
